WELCOMING FRESHIES G12

TWELFTH COLLEGE SESSION 2025/2026

SERDANG, DECEMBER 2nd – The Welcoming Freshies Programme was an event organized by the Generation 12 Club, Secretariat of Spirituality and Unity, College Representative Council of Twelfth College Session 2025/2026, in collaboration with the Twelfth College Management. This programme aimed to celebrate the arrival of new students at Twelfth College, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), session 2025/2026 and to introduce the Generation 12 (G12) Club at UPM, particularly to Chinese students. Through this programme, students were able to get to know one another and become more proactive by participating in upcoming activities organized by the G12 Club. In addition, the Welcoming Freshies Programme helped enhance students’ soft skills, particularly communication, leadership, and teamwork among G12 Club members and participants. The programme also served as a platform to cultivate a systematic organizational structure through efficient management.

The programme included an ice-breaking activity in which participants used a bingo game to get to know one another. In addition, four station games were conducted. Before the games began, participants were divided into small groups of five to compete in duel-style games. In the first game, participants were required to transfer a cup using a balloon. The second game was Tic-Tac-Toe. The third game involved a water bottle flip, and the fourth game required participants to transfer a rubber band using a straw.

The programme started at 7:00 p.m. with participant registration. It began with the ice-breaking activity, followed by the station games. A total of 49 participants attended the event. After all the games were completed, the programme continued with a sharing session about the Generation 12 Club. This was followed by a prize-giving ceremony presented by Theang Kah Chun, the President of the Generation 12 Club. The programme concluded with a photography session involving all G12 Club members and participants. At 10:00 p.m., participants scanned a QR code to record their merit points before the event ended.
