LEVEL YOUR FYP!

TWELFTH COLLEGE SESSION 2025/2026

SERDANG, DECEMBER 19th – The Level Up Your FYP! programme is an initiative organised by the Secretariat of Academic and Intellectual Development, College Representative Council, Twelfth College Session 2025/2026, in collaboration with the Management of Twelfth College. The programme was conducted to provide early exposure and guidance to Twelfth College students regarding the systematic and effective preparation of the Final Year Project (FYP) or dissertation.

The organisation of this programme aimed to assist students in gaining a clearer understanding of the basic structure, writing format, and proper academic ethics involved in FYP preparation. In addition, the programme played an important role in enhancing students’ confidence and readiness to face the challenges of final-year project writing, which is often perceived as demanding. Through the sharing of knowledge and experiences by the invited speaker, participants were exposed to essential steps and common mistakes to avoid in academic writing.

The Level Up Your FYP! programme was conducted online via the Google Meet platform and commenced at 8.00 p.m. with the arrival of participants. This was followed by the arrival of VIP guests and the invited speaker, before the welcoming address was delivered by the Programme Director. Subsequently, the main sharing session by the invited speaker was conducted, focusing on practical guidance for FYP writing, time management, and effective organisation of final project content.

The programme also included a question-and-answer session, providing participants with the opportunity to raise questions and receive direct clarification from the speaker. A total of 100 students from Twelfth College participated in the programme, reflecting strong attendance and highlighting the need for academic guidance initiatives of this nature.

The programme concluded with a group photo session and QR code scanning for merit purposes before the event ended in an orderly manner. Overall, the Level Up Your FYP! programme successfully achieved its intended objectives and is expected to provide lasting benefits to students in completing their Final Year Projects or dissertations in a more organised and high-quality manner.
