The programme aims to serve as a platform for business activities, sales, marketing strategies and entrepreneurial development for students in the field of business. It provides exposure to various aspects of business and seeks to introduce a business-oriented culture among university students. Through this programme, students are able to generate income while enhancing their entrepreneurial potential. This initiative also prepares students with fundamental business skills that can be utilized after they graduate from the university. In addition to fostering interest in entrepreneurship, the programme helps to improve communication, management, marketing, and teamwork skills. Overall, Lepark K12 aims to produce competitive, innovative, and entrepreneurial-minded students, in line with Universiti Putra Malaysia’s aspiration to develop holistic and high-potential graduates.
The programme commenced at 5.00 p.m. with the arrival of vendors and the preparation of stalls, followed by the opening of sales and business activities, which continued until 11.00 p.m. to enliven the festival atmosphere.
The main event of Lepark K12 began at 12.00 noon with the opening of sales stalls operated by student vendors. Participants offered a variety of food, beverages and creative products that combined elements of art with both modern and traditional lifestyles. Each stall was independently managed by students to ensure smooth business operations, while fostering a spirit of competitiveness and innovation within a real business environment.
These business activities were carried out continuously until 11.00 p.m. each day throughout the programme week. The programme was supervised by Ms. Suzziyana Hosni, the Monitoring Fellow, and received support from Associate Professor Dr. Siti Suriawati Isa, the Principal of Twelfth College. On the final day, January 16, the packing and cleaning of the business area began at 11.30 p.m., bringing Lepark K12 to a close with a strong spirit of cooperation and success in achieving its objective of nurturing student entrepreneurs.
