K12 Got Talent

SERDANG, 10 December – The K12 Got Talent program is a program organized by the Arts and Culture Secretariat, the College Representative Council, College Twelve for the 2022/2023 session with the cooperation of the Management of College Twelve, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). This program aims to unearth the talents and interests of the students of Kolej Dua Belas, UPM in the field of arts and culture, especially dance, acting and singing. Not only that, this program is also able to be a medium for College Twelve students to highlight their courage, self-confidence and artistic talent in front of a large audience. In this program, participants are free to choose the talent they want to highlight, whether it's dancing, acting or singing. In fact, this program aims to foster students' courage, self-confidence and creativity in arts and culture. Therefore, students will be able to increase a positive competitive attitude and healthy competition between participants.

The main content of this program consists of three categories namely dance, acting and singing. There are two rounds for each category, the selection round and the final round. The selection round for the K12 Got Talent program was held on November 1, 2022 to November 22, 2022 through an online medium where participants had to register through a Google Form link and upload their performance videos on their respective Instagram accounts. On November 23, 2022, a judging session was held to select the performances of the contestants who deserve to be presented in the final round.

The final round of the K12 Got Talent program was held on 10 December 2022 at Dewan Putra 2, Kolej Serumpun. A total of 11 participants were selected for the dance and singing categories while there were no entries for the acting category. The program started at 8:00 pm accompanied by Sister Hafizah and Sister Fathudeen Azhari as the host of the ceremony who opened the ceremony and the procession of invited guests Mr. Khairul Naim Md Padzil and Mrs. Nor Hasuzie Abdullatif, Mr. Karthik A/L Paramisparan and Mr. Muhammad Faiz Arbain as a guest judge for the K12 Got Talent program. The program continued with the reading of prayers and the introduction of biodata of the invited judges. The program continued with performances from the participants of the K12 Got Talent program starting with dance category then singing category. The K12 Got Talent program has received a lively response, with a total of 351 students from Kolej Dua Belas present as spectators, including the participants. In addition, a lot of feedback and positive comments were given by the audience who were satisfied with the smoothness of the program. Next, before the closing session the invited jury Mr. Muhammad Faiz Arbain presented a special performance for the attendees and also a special performance from the Insignia band, Kolej Dua Belas. Finally, the program ends with the closing words of the host of the ceremony and a QR code scanning session for filling in the merits of the students present and the program disperses.
